Unbuckling the seatbelt
9:39 PMWhew, that was hell of a ride.
2016, was so far, the most *nauseating* ride of them all.
On a hindsight, I was able to carry on valuable things (and unexpectedly lost some) with me along the way.
Myriad thanks to:
1) the people I met. The thrilling experience of venturing into a new adventure with new people is something we always look forward to and I'm thankful I got the chance to know and learn from them as well. The world never fails to surprise me with such wonderful souls in this complicated world.
2) the people who left. Some of which I thought I was going to spend years with, promises and dreams were shattered upon leaving, then that's it. Constants turned to memories in a snap. Though it is inevitable to feel sad and a little sentimental when people leave, there's always something to be thankful for: for making me stronger. However, they didn't completely leave because the lessons, memories, and the like will always be inscribed in my heart.
3) the people who stayed. I must say there are more as compared to the latter, and I'm very much thankful to the Up Above for these treasures: the people who reminded me of my worth, who understood me, and who stood by me. Most of them saw me struggled my way out of the mishaps that occurred during the latter part of the year and lend me a hand to get me complete and sane off the ride. As many as the stars in the sky, so is my gratitude to them.
I poured everything out last 2016 and I'm so grateful to the people who watched me become empty and to those who filled me again.
I'm stoked to hitch a ride again more than ever!
*buckles up for 2017*
